Social Tennis 🎾

MCS Social Tennis sessions aim to be fun, inclusive tennis for all members. We encourage people of all levels to come along, making things a bit exciting as you never know who you might be playing with!

Social tennis sessions are held:

• Wednesdays 6:00-9:00pm

• Sundays 9:30am-1:00pm

If you want to play more competitive tennis, there are lots of extra options:

1. Thursday night coaching sessions

2. Join our regular fun tournaments (see below!)

3. Arrange matches using our Social Tennis WhatsApp group (ask Bella B or David G to add you)

4. Join our singles ladder (contact Helen G)

31 December American Tournament 🏆

On New Year’s Eve, we’ll be having MCS’s traditional American Tournament from 10:00 to 13:00(ish). This is a round-robin mixed doubles competition in which participants are initially randomly paired, and you swap partners halfway through each mini-match. It’s only £3 and is great fun and not a bad way to burn off some of these excess mince pies!

Pond ⛔️

At this type of year, the pond gets quite deep and has weeds. This poses a risk; so everyone should exercise extra caution, especially with children. If a rogue forehand ends up in the pond, please let it go!

AGM 📅

Our AGM was held on Monday, 13th November. (13/11) from 7pm. It was a well-attended session with lots of discussion. Thanks to all those who came along. Click here to view the minutes.

Floodlights Update 💡

Tony has done a great job and has some quotes. We hope to select a final contractor very soon. We hope to install new floodlights soon.

Tony will also contact all those who kindly offered pledges to loan the club some money to help fund the new lights.
