American Doubles tournament this Sunday, 6th October.

To be followed by a BBQ and the MCS Men’s Doubles final at 13.30.

A fantastic lineup with Peter Spargo & Allan Cooper playing Luke Meredith & Vince McAleer. So if you missed Finals Day, here’s your chance to get a slice of the action!

🏆 Finals Day ‘24 Report 🏆

It would be great if this report could say that the day began bright and sunny! But it didn’t. However, the mood throughout the day was bright and sunny and the inclement weather did not dampen the mood. Everyone who was there was in good spirits – players, umpires, car park ‘controllers’, BBQ ‘operatives’, all those that helped to prepare for the day in the weeks before, on the Friday evening and early Saturday morning and last, but not least, the spectators who came along to support the event, when it must have been tempting to stay at home in the dry.

Although we didn’t get the sunshine we have been blessed with in recent years, all matches went ahead as scheduled, with only the Ladies Doubles final having to take a small (tea and biscuits) break for rain. Sadly, Luke Meredith was not able to finish his Men’s Singles final against Emil Meager due to injury and Luke sportingly conceded the match. As Luke was also in the Men’s Doubles final, this final was postponed and has been rearranged for Sunday 6 October at 13.30 after the next American tournament.

All matches were incredibly exciting to watch as they were closely fought and high quality tennis was played. This was especially so in the singles finals with the standard of tennis impressing all those lucky enough to be there to watch. Everyone who played in the finals gave 100% and it showed! Thank you again to everyone who supported the day.
