Results 🙌

The last day of the season was on Sunday 3rd March, and the results are in for all our teams. Congratulations to everyone who represented the club in the winter season, you are all superstars! Captains have written match reports, detailing the drama of each contest - you can see these on our Facebook and our website. Here are the final league results

Floodlights - Nearly there! 💡 

We have selected a supplier and are awaiting final confirmation on an installation date. This will probably be 18-20 March.

Spring Cleaning 🧽

No more slippy courts! The professional clean of Courts 1 and 2 earlier this year has been a big success and the grip on court is much improved. So we’re investing in getting Court 3 professionally cleaned too. As a result, Court 3 will be out of action on Monday 11th March.

Mathon Road Closure ⛔️

A heads up that the section of the Mathon Road will be closed 24/7 from 11th March to 5th April to do repair works on the embankment and verge. The section of road runs from the junction near Mathon Church along to just by the Netherly Hall entrance (see below map)

2024 American Tournament Dates 📆 

When swinging meets tennis 🤭 American tournaments are round-robin doubles competitions in which participants are paired at random and then you swap partners mid-way through each round. All ages and abilities are welcome to compete for the coveted trophy!

Dates for American Tournaments this year are:

• Sunday 7th April

• Sunday 21st July (combined with Open Day)

• Sunday 6th October

• Sunday 29th December

MCS Summer Tournament 2024 📆

We’re going to be kicking off the tournament in April, with matches to be played from May to August, building to the grand finale on MCS Finals Day on Saturday 7th September. There will be singles, doubles and mixed doubles tournaments.

Also - We’re looking for people to volunteer to be part of the team to run the tournament. Please email Ali if you can lend a hand.

2024 MCS Open Day 📆

Add Sunday 21st July to your diaries! Our little club depends on its members and so we’re always looking to sign-up new members to thrive. Carefully timed to capitalise on Wimbledon, this year we’re combining our open day with an American Tournament to show the club at its fun and inclusive best. We’d be very grateful if everyone could make a special effort to come along.

Oh Balls! 🎾

Head Tour balls can be purchased from the club for £6 for a 4-ball tube. If you need balls, please contact Peter by email or text (07752704525) who will let you know how to get hold of your balls and how to pay. Please do not take balls without agreeing with Peter in advance.
