🏆 Open Day & American Tournament on Sun 3 Aug
What a brilliant day we had for our summer tournament and open day! The sun was shining, the courts were buzzing, and the club was full of friendly faces, both familiar and new.
A big congratulations to Ian and Sue A, who took home the tournament title with some fantastic play – well deserved! And of course, we can’t forget Kim, who won the gingerbread house - a sweet victory indeed!
It was lovely to see such a great turnout, with some potential new members getting a taste of what makes our club special. The day really showcased the spirit of the club: welcoming, sociable, and full of great tennis.
Thanks to everyone who came along and helped make the day such a success – here’s to many more! Date for your diaries: the next tournament is on Sunday 26th October.

🎾 Junior Tennis Camps
Please spread the word about our 3 hour fun tennis camps in August.
These sessions are suitable for children from 6-16 years. We will split the age groups and work with different ages/abilities. Children will be able to develop their tennis skills and play fun games.
If you have any questions please contact Sarah or Tina on [email protected]
🚶 Walking Tennis Taster Session
We’re offering a free Walking Tennis taster session on Friday 26th September at 11am, followed by coffee and cake… the perfect combo!
Walking Tennis is a fun and inclusive version of the game, ideal for those who may prefer a gentler pace. It’s played on a standard court with slightly adapted rules – no running or jumping, just good rallies, good laughs, and a good time. Whether you’re returning to tennis after a break, recovering from injury, or simply fancy something a little less energetic, Walking Tennis could be just the thing.
Everyone is welcome – members and non-members alike – so bring a friend and come and give it a try!
